Privacy Policy

Blue-Grey Football (“Blue-Grey,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) runs All-American combines and All-American bowl games for high-school football players. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website at bluegreyfootball.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.

1. A note about young athletes
Almost everyone we collect information about is a high-school student, and many are under 18. We take that seriously, and there are three things we want to say plainly before the detail.
- Someone else can nominate an athlete. Coaches, scouts, parents and athletes themselves can all submit a nomination. That means we sometimes receive an athlete’s information from a person other than the athlete or their parent.
- We publish some athlete information. Exposure to college recruiters is the point of what we do, so athlete names, positions and schools appear publicly on this site. Section 5 lists exactly what we publish.
- A parent or guardian can always contact us to see what we hold about their child, correct it, ask us to remove it from public pages, or delete it. We do not require a reason. See Section 11.
2. Information you give us
We collect information through forms on our site.
Nomination forms (bowl and combine). These ask for the prospect’s name, mailing address, cell phone number, email address, height, weight, high school, graduation year, primary and secondary positions, GPA, PSAT and ACT scores, varsity statistics, and X (Twitter) handle. They also ask for a parent or guardian’s cell phone and email, the head coach’s name, cell phone and email, and the name, relationship and email of whoever is submitting the nomination.
Bowl registration and payment. Registration is by invitation. The registration form asks for the player’s name, address, cell phone and email, a parent’s cell phone and email, height, weight, high school, graduation year, assigned position, jersey and pants sizes, college commitment if any, X handle, and the name and email of whoever is making the payment. Payment is handled as described in Section 3.
Waiver and health forms. Before a combine or a bowl game, a parent or guardian completes and signs a waiver agreement. The person signing must be 18 or older. These forms collect:
- the athlete’s name, date of birth, address, high school and email;
- the parent or guardian’s name, email and cell phone;
- health information — allergies, food allergies, prescription and non-prescription medications, and dietary restrictions;
- insurance information — the name of the insured, their relationship to the athlete, and their address;
- an electronic signature and the date it was signed.
We ask for health and insurance information for one reason: so that we can look after an athlete properly if something happens to them at one of our events. It is never published, and it is not used for anything else.
The waivers a parent signs include an authorization to provide emergency medical care, a release of liability and assumption of risk, an authorization to use the athlete’s name, likeness and voice in coverage and promotion of our events, and an authorization for us to use the information provided in connection with the event.

When the information is about someone else
If you nominate an athlete, you are giving us that athlete’s personal information, and you are confirming that you are entitled to do so. If you are not the athlete or their parent or guardian, we ask that you tell them you have nominated them.
We email the parent. When a nomination is submitted, a copy is sent to the parent or guardian email address given on the form, as well as to our office. If you are a parent and you receive one you did not expect, contact us and we will remove the nomination.
3. Payment information
Combine and bowl payments are processed by PayPal, using PayPal’s checkout embedded in our registration page. You can pay through your PayPal account or by card.
PayPal collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store your full card number. We receive a record that a payment was made, the amount, and the name and contact details associated with the registration.
4. Information collected automatically
Server logs. Our web server records standard technical information for every request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and device type. These are kept for 9 months.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — which pages are visited, for how long, and roughly where visitors are located. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this data under Google’s own terms. You can opt out across all websites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. See Section 8 for cookie controls.
Embedded video. Some pages embed YouTube videos. Playing one — and in some cases simply loading the page — lets YouTube set its own cookies and see your IP address, exactly as if you had visited YouTube directly. We do not control that, and it is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
5. Information we publish
Recruiting exposure is what families come to us for, so parts of what we collect are deliberately made public.
On rosters and results pages we publish exactly these seven things about an athlete, and nothing else:
- name
- height
- weight
- position
- school name
- state
- graduation year
Scouting reports, published as news articles, name individual athletes and describe how they performed and which programs are showing interest.
We never publish an athlete’s or parent’s address, phone number or email address, and we never publish academic records such as GPA, PSAT or ACT scores. Those are collected so we can evaluate and contact nominees, and they stay private.
A parent, guardian or athlete can ask us to remove a name from these pages. See Section 11.
6. How we use information
We use what we collect to:
- review nominations and decide who to invite;
- run our combines and bowl games, including rosters, scheduling and on-site logistics;
- take payment for registration;
- contact athletes, parents and coaches about invitations, schedules, deadlines and results;
- publish rosters, results and scouting reports, as described in Section 5;
- operate, secure and improve the website.
We do not send athlete information to college recruiters, colleges, or recruiting services. The exposure our events provide comes from what we publish publicly and from the scouts and coaches who attend, not from us passing your details to anyone.
7. Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that make our website, our events and our payments work, and only as far as each one needs:
- SiteGround — our web-hosting provider. Our website and its database, which hold every form submission and signed document, run on SiteGround’s servers.
- PayPal — processes combine and bowl payments.
- Google Analytics — receives website usage information, as described in Section 4.
- SendGrid — carries our outgoing email. Form submissions are emailed to our staff and to the parent or guardian address on the form, so SendGrid handles that mail in transit.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the safety of a participant.
8. Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Here is exactly what this site stores, and why.

We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not run any advertising or retargeting trackers.
Cookies set by others. Pages with an embedded video load the player from YouTube as soon as the page opens. At that point YouTube can set its own cookies and see your IP address, whether or not you press play. That is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not this one.
Your controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across every website using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking analytics and video cookies will not stop this site working.
9. Children’s privacy
Our events are for high-school athletes aged roughly 15 to 18. Our forms are intended to be completed by an adult — a parent or guardian, a coach, or a scout — or by a student athlete with their parent’s knowledge.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information without their parent’s involvement, contact us at staff@bluegreyfootball.com and we will remove it.
A parent or guardian signs for every athlete who attends. Before a combine or a bowl game, a parent or guardian aged 18 or over completes and signs the waiver described in Section 2. That is where a parent agrees to emergency medical care, to the use of their child’s name, likeness and voice in coverage of the event, and to our use of the information they have given us.
Parents and guardians may at any time ask to see what we hold about their child, correct it, remove it from public pages, or delete it entirely. We will not require you to explain why.
10. How long we keep information
- Nomination entries that do not lead to an invitation: deleted after 9 months.
- Registration, event and waiver records: kept for 2 years, for accounting and event-history purposes.
- Payment records: kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Published rosters, results and scouting reports: kept indefinitely as a historical archive, unless removal is requested.
- Server logs and analytics: kept for 9 months.
11. Your choices and your rights
Whoever you are, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you or your child;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- remove a name from rosters, results or scouting reports;
- delete your information entirely;
- stop emailing you.
Email staff@bluegreyfootball.com or call 508-376-1250. We will respond within 7 business days. We may need to verify who you are before acting on a request, particularly a request about someone else.
Some records — payment and accounting records in particular — we may have to keep even after a deletion request, and we will tell you if that applies.
When we delete information at your request, we remove it from our live website and database. Copies may remain in our routine backups for up to 1 year, after which those backups are overwritten in the normal course.
12. State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — including the right to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. Residents of California and several other states have specific rights of this kind.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not pass athlete information to recruiting services. No advertising or marketing trackers run on this site — only Google Analytics, described in Sections 4 and 8.

13. Other websites
This site links to and embeds content from other services, including YouTube, and links out to social media. This policy does not cover those services, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
14. Security
Where your information is stored. Form submissions, including signed documents, are stored in our website’s database, hosted by SiteGround in the United States, and are accessible only to Blue-Grey staff with a website administrator account. A copy of each submission is also emailed to the Blue-Grey office and to the parent or guardian email address given on the form.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No website can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on the site.
