Blue-Grey All-American Bowl: Raymond James Stadium Info Center (2016)
With the hype machine showing no signs of slowing down any time soon, official rosters have been released for the North vs. South at the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl on Jan. 9 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Raymond James Stadium.
Calling the shots as head coach this time for the South, replacing three-time winner Larry Ryans, is fellow NFL veteran Ken Stills. His staff, of course, is comprised of one-time peers, perhaps most notably local legend Mike Alstott.
Stills & Co. will have no shortage of weapons on offense. Clemson commit Zerrick Cooper and South Florida commit Chris Oladokun are well-known names, so are North Carolina commit Tyler Pritchett and Air Force commit Zach Lyle.
In terms of skill position players, there are plenty of players to keep an eye on, including Oregon State commit Artavis Pierce, one-time Florida commit Tyrek Tisdale, ACC target Theo Anderson and Alcorn State commit Darius Miller.
On the other side of the ball, Stanford commit Bo Peek and Air Force commit John Chiaramonte are forces to be reckon with. That’s all times, too. ACC target Landon Holden and Conference USA target Matthew Montgomery figure to make a difference at some point from the linebacker spots.
Colorado commit Craig Watts is the marquee name in the secondary, there’s no doubt about it. ACC targets Val Mayes, Darius Williams and Khris Pam, also Sun Belt Conference target Reagan Anderson are no slouches. Far from it.
NFL Arlen Harris is head coach for the North, and along with fellow one-time pros George Teague, Mark McMillian and Troy Brown, the staff has multiple options on the offensive side with several capable quarterbacks in tow.
Arizona commit J.J. Taylor is seemingly always one step away from scoring a touchdown. Big 10 Conference target Naeem Moore and Big Sky Conference target Isaiah Hall are two of many other recruits worth remembering.
Nebraska commit Jack Stoll, Virginia commit Cole Blackman, Pac-12 Conference target Anselem Umeh, ACC target Jelani Greene, also American Athletic Conference targets Khalif Sinclair and Javier Buffalo will draw attention.
Navy commit Sean Rattay, Maryland commit Brian Plummer, Bowling Green commit Caleb Bright, Minnesota commit Conner Olson, Amy commit Michael Gerber and Eastern Michigan commit Jake Donnellon anchor the line.
Defensively, all eyes will be on lineman West Virginia commit Reese Donahue and Syracuse commit Noel Brouse. Notre Dame commit Troy Pride plans to patrol the secondary with Pac-12 Conference target Isaac Steele, among others.
Illinois commit Tim Walton, Navy commit DeLonte Berry, Kent State commit Matt Otwinowski, Western Michigan commit Tristian Pipp and Pac-12 Conference target Damon Wiley will be difficult to deal with at the second level.
Complete rosters are now available (follow this link for details). Also worth mentioning, the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in Florida will be broadcast via delayed stream on the Impact Football Network (follow this link for details).
Also, tickets for the game are $20 (general admission) and will be sold throughout weekend at host hotel DoubleTree Tampa Airport-Westshore (follow this link for details), also the gate for Raymond James Stadium. Parking is $5.
I was wondering if I could still order a Jersey for the North team. I want #90 Bermudez.
