Blue-Grey All-American Combine: Desert Regional Scouting Report (2025)

For the second time in as many years, a familiar staff was on hand for the Blue-Grey All-American Combine (Desert Regional) at Ottawa University, with NFL veteran Jerome Daniels as lead instructor, joined by fellow one-time pros Patrick Hunter, Darryl Clack and Doug Powell.
There were many scholarship-worthy prospects in attendance and numerous others fit in that category. Below is a recap of some of the top performers and each is now considered as an All-American Bowl candidate for one of the upcoming games later on this year (details to follow).
Chase Brown, 2026, QB, Flagstaff (AZ): The 6’3 and 180-pounder has been on campus at UNLV. the future is bright, to be sure.
Owen Griffin, 2026, QB, Notre Dame Prep (AZ): The 6’4 and 195-pounder did well and opened up some eyes in the process.
Seth Bernier, 2026, QB, Lake Havasu (AZ): Good size and athleticism, the 6’3 and 185-pounder has certainly has tools to work with.
Bobby Nesbit, 2026, RB, American Leadership Academy (AZ): On the official roster, the 5’10 and 187-pounder has schools interested.
D’mari Bryant, 2027, RB, Millenium (AZ): Never one to back down from a challenge, the 5’10 and 190-pounder was up for a challenge.
Adrian Jett, 2027, RB, Salpointe (AZ): Good on the ground or in the air, the 5’10 and 184-pounder was as versatile as they come.
Darius Howard, 2026, WR, Mesa (AZ): The 6’4 and 180-pounder took advantage of his frame to make most plays seem effortless.
Asher Hanzal, 2026, WR Valley Christian (AZ): Quick and fast, the 6’2 and 180-pounder used overall speed to his advantage.
Shawn Ellison, 2027, WR, Estrella Foothills (AZ): Once the 5’8 and 160-pounder adds weight, watch out, he’ll be a difference-maker.
Skyler Ormita, 2026, WR, Chandler (AZ): The 5-7 and 170-pounder earned the respect of his peers and turned plenty of heads.
Michael Porter, 2027, WR, Mountain Pointe (AZ): Once the 5’10 and 185-pounder realizes his potential, watch out, sky’s the limit.
Blake Bliss, 2026, DB, Verrado (AZ): Tough and determined, the 5’9 and 170-pounder left a lasting impression on the coaching staff.
Tariq Howard, 2027, DB, Buena (AZ): The 5’11 and 160-pounder typically won his 1v1 assignments. He did just about everything right.
Wyatt Ells, LB, 2026, Arizona College Prep (AZ): The 5’10 and 180-pounder was a force to be reckon with at the second level.
Brayden Lavinia, 2027, LB, Notre Dame Prep (AZ): Standing up, or with his hand in the ground, the 6’0 and 200-pounder impressed.
Jayden Arnold, 2027, LB, Chandler (AZ): Only recently scratching the surface, the future is bright for the 6’2 and 195-pounder.
Justin Stella, 2026, LB, Perry (AZ): The 6’2 and 195-pounder did a little bit of everything, most of it extremely well its worth noting.
Hayden Utley, 2026, DL, Marana (AZ): The 6’2 and 250-pounder was contacted by Northern Arizona. The program could be a good fit.
Brady Allen, 2027, DL, Ironwood Ridge (AZ): This time next year, the 6’4 and 300-pounder is going to have multiple college options.
Jude Jones, 2027, DL, Chandler (AZ): The 6’3 and 240-pounder was difficult to deal with down in the trenches, from start to finish.

Late in the summer, invitations will be extended to one of the brand’s upcoming All-American Bowls held at NFL stadium and nationally broadcast on ESPN’s family of networks or Impact Football Network.
Games take place at Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, Buccaneers’ Raymond James Stadium, Falcons’ Mercedes Benz Stadium, Texans’ NRG Stadium or Jaguars’ EverBank Field, among other venues.
Moving forward, the Blue-Grey Football Selection Committee will consider a number of different factors before making any decision on potential invites to the All-American Bowl. Stay tuned.
