Blue-Grey All-American Combine: West Ohio Super Regional Scouting Report (2024)
In its debut in the region, the Blue-Grey All-American Combine (West Ohio Super Regional) was a success at Dayton’s Centennial Field, a venue constructed by the NFL to commemorate the site of the first league game in 1920.
NFL veteran Ken Stills was lead instructor this time around and he had help from the likes of NFL veteran trainer Keon Thorpe, among others with experience at the next level in college, and beyond in the professional ranks.
Although there were many scholarship-worthy prospects in attendance, numerous others fit in that category. Below is a recap of some of the top performers and each is now considered as an All-American Bowl candidate for one of the upcoming games later on this year.
Troy Harris, WR, 2026, Bethel Tate (OH): The 5’11 and 170-pounder seems destined to play at the next level. Sooner rather than later, too.
James Adkins, OL, 2026, Johnson Central (KY): Big and strong, the 6’2 and 250-pounder was difficult to deal with down in the trenches.
Eli Helmuth, OL, 2025, Marysville (OH): The 6’3 and 300-pounder passed the eye test, that much was for certain. He was also athletic.
Zae Davenport, DB, 2025, Lebanon (OH): The 5’11 and 170-pounder might be a really good fit in the MAC. It’s only a matter of time.
Gabe Davis-Ray, DB, 2026, Columbus Academy (OH): It wouldn’t come as a surprise to see the 6’3 and 185-pounder land in the ACC.
Andrew Ferguson, DL, 2026, Pikeville (KY): The 6’3 and 250-pounder could not be stopped, at times. He turned more than a few heads.
