Blue-Grey Jersey Presentation Tour: Evan Fields
All eyes were fixed on the Blue-Grey Football Staff and Evan Fields from Midwest City (OK) during a stop on the nationwide Jersey Presentation Tour. No surprise to that end, considering he is one of country’s premier players from the Class of 2017, no small task given the competition.
The 6-foot-1 and 185-pound senior defensive back hopes to prove his worth, on the national level no less, during the brand’s All-American Bowl on Dec. 22 at Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium. Once there, Fields will be a member of West vs. East as stages don’t get much bigger than that.
We’d be remiss with mentioning the fact that two other games take place shortly thereafter: Jan. 14 at Jacksonville Jaguars’ EverBank Field and Jan. 21 at Oakland Raiders’ Coliseum. All the action will take place on ESPN3 or Impact Football Network. Tune in for more details.
The Pac-12 Conference target was rated as a three-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, an accurate talent indicator as the tool takes into account evaluations of all the major recruiting services.
Playing at the next level on the West Coast is not guaranteed. Make no mistake, Fields has options. At schools from all over, including the Big Ten Conference and Big 12 Conference USA, among many others.
With double-digit offers, a long list that’s fast approaching near 20 scholarships truth be told, Baylor, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota and Notre Dame are a handful of the potential suitors. Impressive list, to be sure.
Still, Fields does not appear to be in any rush to make a choice about the next four years of his life. There’s plenty of time for that. All signs point to his focus, first, being on the brand’s All-American Bowl in Texas.
