Blue-Grey Jersey Presentation Tour: Jordan Allen
Every year, moreover right around this time, the staff from Blue-Grey Football hits the road on the brand’s nationwide Jersey Presentation Tour with a collection of NFL veterans and administrators.
The goal is to promote the All-American Bowl and a select few of the nation’s top prospects in the Class of 2020 are recognized in front of family and friends. The community in general, to that end.
Four games soon take place, each of them at an NFL venue, specifically Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Raymond James Stadium and Atlanta Falcons’ Mercedes Benz Stadium.
The action from the All-American Bowl will be nationally broadcast on ESPN3 or Impact Football Network (check your local listings). Similar to year’s past, the footage will be permanently archived.
Jordan Allen from Cathedral Catholic (CA) was recently acknowledged with NFL veteran Mark McMillian on hand. The 6-foot-2 and 200-pound linebacker will play in the game on Jan. 13 at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
The Pac-12 Conference target was rated as a three-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, an accurate talent indicator as the tool takes into account evaluations of all the major recruiting services.
Lining up on Saturdays is certainly in the near future, given his particularly good gene pool and strong family bloodlines. After all, his father is NFL veteran and potential Pro Football Fall of Fame inductee Eric Allen.
With a handful of scholarships in place already, the bandwagon continues to fill up fast. He boasts nearly double-digit offers. Still, Arizona State seems to be the odds-on favorite to land an all-important commitment.
Nevertheless, teams from the Mountain West Conference and Big Sky Conference remain in the running for a pledge. Also in the mix are schools from the ACC, Conference USA and American Athletic Conference.
In no apparent hurry to make a decision, Allen is focused on the here and now. Worth noting, he’s a finalist for a Southern California award presented by Prep Pigskin Report (vote on social media with this link or this link).
In terms of what’s next, there’s no denying the fact Allen is destined for success at the next level and beyond. First things first, however, he’ll suit up for his final game before college in the brand’s All-American Bowl.
