Blue-Grey Jersey Presentation: William Anglen
Every year, moreover right around this time, the staff from Blue-Grey Football hits the road on the brand’s nationwide Jersey Presentation Tour with a collection of NFL veterans and administrators.
The goal is to promote the All-American Bowl and a select few of the nation’s top prospects in the Class of 2020 are recognized in front of family and friends. The community in general, to that end.
Four games soon take place, each of them at an NFL venue, specifically Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Raymond James Stadium and Atlanta Falcons’ Mercedes Benz Stadium.
The action from the All-American Bowl will be nationally broadcast on ESPN3 or Impact Football Network (check your local listings). Similar to year’s past, the footage will be permanently archived.
William Anglen from Glenville (OH) was recently honored by NFL veteran Chris Taylor, and rightfully so, considering he 6-foot-2 and 190-pound defensive back will play in the game on Jan. 20 at AT&T Stadium.
The Pac-12 Conference target was rated as a three-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, an accurate talent indicator as the tool takes into account evaluations of all the major recruiting services.
It should come as little, or no surprise, to learn that Anglen has emerged as a household name, of sorts. He first opened eyes on the national level during the Blue-Grey All-American Combine (Midwest Regional).
Still a hot commodity, Anglen is fast-approaching more than 10 scholarship offers, with several schools in the ACC making a push and multiple programs in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) in constant contact.
In the end, however, each of the teams could come up short. At this stage of the game, Colorado must be considered as the front-runner for a potential commitment. Only time will, naturally. Stay tuned, regardless.
In terms of making a decision about where to line up at the next level, Anglen is no hurry to make a decision. His sole focus seems to be finishing the season strong and lining up in the brand’s All-American Bowl.
Editor’s note: Each participant in the annual game will take part in the Jersey Presentation Tour during All-American Bowl Weekend with plenty of media in attendance, on both the national and local levels.
