Blue-Grey All-American Bowl: West 41, East 27

Rice commit Patrick Crayton (middle) was among the high-profile prospects to play in the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl.
There was plenty of talent on the field at the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl. Really, it was a who’s who list of prospects from the Class of 2025. In the end, however, Patrick Crayton was best of the best, as West defeated East, 41-27, at Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium on Dec. 16.
Son of NFL veteran and former Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton, the younger version directed four scoring drives for the West and finished 15-of-17 with 191 passing yards and a 2-yard touchdown run. For his efforts, the Rice commit was named Offensive MVP.
His counterpart, Jayden Harrington on the East did well, too. MAC target Jase Ravenell and and Sun Belt Conference target Kani Johnson were his primary options on the offensive side of the ball.
Without a doubt, no questions asked, San Diego State commit Chase Shumate was named Defensive MVP. He ended up with an All-American Bowl record three interceptions. That’s not even mentioning his seven tackles for the West and three pass deflections.
Syracuse commit Luke Carney was among the marquee names for the West. Memphis commit Bryce Vaughn was held in similar regard for the East, regardless of position. He and Northern Iowa commit Connor Best were the difference makers in the trenches.
Truthfully, the same thing can be said about Missouri Valley Football Conference target Logan Horne, Ohio Valley Conference Matthew Worsham and Missouri Valley Football Conference target Derrek Jones. Each of them exceeded expectations for the East
Dueling with Crayton, Sun Belt Conference target Jiyere Cogshell directed the offense for the West. His go-to-guys were Big Sky Conference target Tyler Anderson, Conference USA target Andrias Fisher and Sun Belt Conference target Christian Crumbley.
Big Sky Conference target Camren Durfee, Conference USA target Kolton Cook, Ohio Valley Conference target Cameron Mosby and Big Sky Conference target Messiah Fields earned respect for the West, with Conference USA target Christian Gleason.
American Athletic Conference target Zakai Young and Sun Belt Conference target Kheldon Butler were disruptive down in the trenches for the East, along with Missouri Valley Football Conference target Nathan Dobbs and Sun Belt Conference target Jeremiah Jennings.
