Blue-Grey Regional Combine: Alabama Scouting Report (2015)

In a first for the brand, Blue-Grey Football recently stopped in Alabama for a Regional Combine. The goal, of course, was to see what that untapped part of the country had to offer.

Safe to say, we’ll be back soon after discovering there was no shortage of talent in the deep South. So, without further ado, here’s a look at the prospects who left a lasting impression.

Adam Browner, QB, New Hope (AL): On the verge of multiple offers, the 6-foot-4 and 215-pound junior was one of the more recognizable names in attendance.

DeMarcus Williams, QB, Jackson (AL): A jack-of-all-trades, the 6-1 and 185-pound junior is a capable signal-caller and he can line up anywhere on the field.

Robert Shufford, RB McKenzie (AL): Ahead of the curve, or so it seems now, the 5-7 and 165-pound sophomore did not appear to be intimidated by his more experienced peers.

B.J. Smith, RB, Stanhope Elmore (AL): The 5-9 and 178-pound junior had a motor that did not stop. Seemingly with only one gear, full-speed, he made the most it of each opportunity.

Frank Mwakajumba, RB, Thompson (AL): During skills testing, the 5-11 and 195-pound junior scored off the charts. Little changed thereafter, he delivered during the one-on-ones.

Andreaz Spencer, WR, Paul Bryant (AL): The 5-10 and 160-pound junior had his way with opponents in the secondary. Not surprisingly, he received the award for Offensive MVP.

Jeremiah King, WR, Lee (AL): Over the middle, along the sideline, or vertical down the field, the 5-7 and 145-pound junior proved to be more than capable of making big plays.

Armand Green, DB, Wenonah (AL): It did not matter who was lined up across the other side of the line scrimmage, the 5-8 and 180-pound junior refused to give an inch to anyone.

Toron Morten, LB, Central (AL): An Ohio Valley Conference target, the 6-1 and 227-pound junior was seemingly without peer in this setting. From start to finish, it’s worth mentioning.

Deonta Tillman, DL, Boaz (AL): No one could stop, or contain is a matter of fact, the 6-foot and 235-pound junior. And for his effort in this setting, he was named Defensive MVP.
