Blue-Grey All-American Combine: Las Vegas Regional Scouting Report (2017)

It was a reunion, of sorts, NFL veterans Mark McMillian and Randall Cunningham back together. Once again, no less. This time around, however, it was to give back to the game.

The former Philadelphia Eagles teammates, for the third time in as many years, were the masterminds behind this past weekend’s Blue-Grey All-American Bowl (Las Vegas Regional).

Along with McMillian and Cunningham, one-time professionals David Hill and Michael Cosgrove were also in attendance to help provide plenty of instruction to the many prospects.

Those who did well at the workout, in time, could be invited to one of the brand’s All-American Bowls held inside of an NFL stadium and nationally broadcast on ESPN’s family of networks. Stay tuned for more details.

The games take place at Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Raymond James Stadium and Jacksonville Jaguars’ EverBank Field or San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium.

That said, it’s time to take a closer look at the recruits who took advantage of their opportunities in front of the powers that be, specifically speaking McMillian and Cunningham, also their peers.

Vladimir Plotnikov, QB, Centennial (NV): The 6-foot-2 and 180-pound junior is no stranger to this kind of environment, with this being his second straight appearance at the workout.

Ikaika Ragsdake, RB, Bishop Gorman (NV): Young and largely raw, on paper that is, the 6-foot and 200-pound freshman played with the poise of an experienced upperclassman.

Jaden Mitchell, WR, Desert Pines (NV): The 5-11 and 170-pound junior recently picked up a fourth offer and it would not be a surprise to see him soon approach double-digits.

Jalen Nailor, WR, Bishop Gorman (NV): The most well-known name on hand, look for the 6-foot and 180-pound junior to play in the brand’s All-American Bowl, along with Mitchell.

Elijah Kothe, WR, Faith Lutheran (NV): The 6-4 and 185-pound junior was not available due to an already planned recruiting trip to San Diego State. Still, he’s firmly on the radar. Stay tuned for more details.

Jimmy Telles, WR, Bishop Gorman (NV): Over the middle, or along the sideline, it didn’t matter, the 5-10 and 171-pound junior seemingly caught everything thrown in his direction.

Deago Stubbs, WR, Arbor View (NV): The 6-2 and 175-pound junior is long and lean, with room to grow. Worth mentioning, Idaho and Southern Utah have expressed interest.

Keyon White, WR, Canyon Springs (NV): During the skills testing session, the 5-11 and 165-pound junior did particularly well, so did Kazonte Thomas from Canyon Springs (NV).

DeAndre Ware, WR, Bishop Gorman (NV): The 5-9 and 155-pound freshman did not seem to be the least bit intimidated. Wise beyond his years, the future is certainly bright.

Jake Dedeaux, DB, Liberty (NV): It’s only a matter of time before a college steps up and puts that long-overdue first scholarship in place for the 5-10 and 175-pound junior.

Noah Lopez, DB, Bishop Gorman (NV): The 5-10 and 170-pound junior possesses plenty of upside, that was evident to everyone around. He’s destined to play on Saturdays.

Taison Etienne, DB, Silverado (NV): Once a relative unknown on the recruiting landscape, the days of flying underneath the radar are over for the 5-11 and 175-pound junior.

Braxton Harms, DB, Green Valley (NV): The 5-8 and 176-pound junior was coachable throughout, and not surprisingly, emerged as a clear-cut favorite of McMillian.

John Hubbard-Johnson, LB, Mesa Ridge (CO): The 6-foot and 190-pound junior held his own, with Drew Nicholson from Green Valley (NV) and Joshua Lathers from Silverado (NV).

Jacob Isaia, OL, Bishop Gorman (NV): Unfortunately, the 6-3 and 275-pound junior was not in action. Nevertheless, he remains high on the list for the brand’s All-American Bowl.

Terrence Smith, OL, Legacy (NV): The 6-6 and 390-pound junior stood out in the crowd, for obvious reasons given his tremendous frame. Also, he moved rather well for his size.

Lorenzo Brown, DL, Desert Pines (NV): Another individual destined for the brand’s All-American Bowl, the 6-3 and 225-pound junior was without peer down in the trenches.

Isaac Tuia, DL, Bishop Gorman (NV): The 6-2 and 290-pound junior has talked with BYU, Colorado and TCU in the past. Rightfully so, after watching the effort put forth here.

Crishaun Lappin, DL, Liberty (NV): With no shortage of talent on the interior, the 6-1 and 250-pound junior would not be outdone by his peers. Instead, he turned heads.

Von White, DL, Silverado (NV): The 6-3 and 260-pound sophomore showed some flashes of potential. Myron Mingo from Silverado (NV) was another name to remember.
